The breeder will start training the pups the art of "luring" at a young age. A toy will be dragged across the floor to lure the pups whom are literally tripping over themselves to get to the target. By the time the dogs are around four months of age, they have received lots of handling and are typically able to walk with a leash. At this age, the pups will normally be sent to a rearing facility. This will enable them to run around, socialize, and play with their litter-mates.
